TMAC is really long. But you don’t have to read it from start to finish. It’s designed so you can jump into it anywhere you like on the free PDFs or HTMLs. Also, you can search with keywords and surf the text. This type of non-chronological reading is consistent with the rejection of ‘good form’ in Technical Fiction (see epigraph 3). But what if you asked for my advice in how to get into TMAC? Well, I would skip Chapter 1 and read Chapters 2-5 with reference to the Table of Contents. They’re pretty straightforward. It only starts to get difficult in Chapter 6.
